Good Evening Everybody!
Well, I survived the world-wind that some people called March & April! If you aren't following me on Twitter or Facebook, it's been an interesting few months. I got married, went to Paris and recently finished a commissioned painting for Senior Art Director, Nelson Lowry of Laika Studios. Laika is the company responsible for movies like "Coraline" and "Paranorman" (in theaters this summer!). I am now working on a piece for the lead investigator of Paranormal Hot Squad, Jodie Parks. Between writing my top secret project and a small list of commissioned work, I am currently not taking on any other projects at this time. I should have lots of new candy for Scarefest 2012 folk to wrap their eyes around as well as tshirts, come Sept! I'm looking forward to another fun weekend up in Kentucky with Aaron, Amy, Eric and Adam.
I'm constantly meeting different officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs to start an "Art Therapy" class for the new VA hospital opening December 2012! I got to see the new building and it looks amazing! I will keep fueling the undying fire until this damn class gets established! It's a bit of a waiting game though, wish me luck.
As some of you may know, business can be like a game of chess sometimes. You may have to take a step back in your endeavors to take two steps forward. This is exactly what I plan to do. Next month, will be my last month at the Arts Factory. It has nothing to do with relationships with the owners or business flow. I am simply out-growing my gallery space and will need a bigger space. I plan to take some time off of showing, so I can create more pieces to cut loose into this world. The opening of my new space will be sometime in the beginning of 2013. I am excited to get started on my visions, for as of right now, only I know what they look like. I will remain easy to get a hold of, I am only an email, tweet, fb post away! If you are in the Las Vegas area June 1st, come by and say hello! With my birthday being June 3rd, there will be cake! My cousin will also be there selling paracord wrist bands, a new found talent of his!
I will be opened from 6pm-9pm on Thursday May 31st and 6pm-12am on First Friday. (Studio #125 inside The Arts Factory, LV)
Remember, you are the chemists of your own future. Keep being you. Be great. -CG \m/\m/
